The Second Annual Conference and Shabbaton of the Jewish Scholastic Press Association will be held Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 at Bnai David-Judea Congregation in Los Angeles.

Once again, the registration fee will be $125 per student and will include Shabbat dinner and lunch.  The JSPA will provide home hospitality for the entire conference to the first five schools that sign up (until space runs out), and we are expecting more schools this year than last.

Hotel space is available at the Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills (about $200 for a quad), Marriot Residence Inn Beverly Hills, and Best Western Carlyle Inn, all located walking distance from B’nai David.  Local students who want to get to meetings on their own are welcome to do so.  Schools sending more than three students are required to have a chaperone.

Once again, there will be a full Shabbat program and optional Saturday evening activity.   There will also be more contests this year. Keynote speakers  and other details will be announced soon.

The JSPA thanks its conference co-sponsors, Shalhevet High School, Bnai David-Judea Congregation, and the American Jewish Press Association for their support.
